County permit software upgrade to result in adjusted hours and system availability

Several Eagle County Departments are preparing for an upgrade to the county's permit software system and inspection line. County staff will be attending training from Jan. 14 through 18, resulting in adjusted hours and availability.

The Community Development office main desk in Eagle will remain open for walk-in customers from Jan. 14 through 16. However, pre-application meetings with a building plans examiner will occur by appointment only. Email colleen.wirth@eaglecounty.us or jr.mondragon@eaglecounty.us, or call 970-328-8761 in advance to ensure an available time.

No building inspections will be performed on Monday, Jan. 14. Building inspections will resume on Jan. 15 through Jan. 18. New inspection requests will be accepted through the existing system through 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16. Permit holders can continue requesting inspections through the inspection line at 1-866-701-3307 up until 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18.

The Community Development Department, including Building, Planning and Engineering, will be closed Jan. 17 and 18 to allow staff time to administer final conversions of data onto the new system.

Both the software system and inspection line will be unavailable from Jan. 19 through 21. Existing online account holders will need to re-register on the newly released Community Development Self Service System beginning on Jan. 22 at www.eaglecounty.us/building.
